Smart Media Consulting, LLC was selected to design and implement the Web site for an upcoming build of ABC’s hit TV show Extreme Makeover: Home Edition. The Little Rock Web development firm was selected by Lock and Key Productions and their selected local builder Woodhaven Homes, Inc. to create a Web site to provide information about the upcoming build and to recruit volunteers and donors to help with the project.

During the build, the site will include a builder’s blog and photo gallery.

The Extreme Makeover: Home Edition television program features an intense one-week build that changes the life of a deserving family. Builders, individuals and volunteer groups donate their time and resources to work around the clock to build a home in less than a week. Five families in the Little Rock area are being considered to receive a life changing gift – a brand new home – and the recipient will be named soon. “Extreme Makeover: Home Edition,” which has won back-to-back Emmy Awards as the Best Reality Program (non-competitive), is entering its 6th season on ABC. The program is produced by Endemol USA, a division of Endemol Holding. Anthony Dominici is the executive producer; and David Goldberg is the president of Endemol USA.

We developed a custom designed online newsletter Web site for the Arkansas EMT Association (AEMTA). The AEMTA had published a quarterly printed newsletter and desired to cease production of the print piece and move it to an online format. We provided consultation of how to best execute this plan, and we implemented a content management news publishing system to allow the organization’s leadership to publish stories to the Web site using a WYSIWYG editor content management system. We are assisting the AEMTA in monetizing their Web site by utilizing online advertising programs as well as converting their traditional print publication sponsors to online sponsors using Interactive Advertising Bureau (IAB) standards-compliant banner ads. We are providing Web site hosting and ongoing Webmaster services.

We developed a custom content management solution for the Arkansas chapter of the International Association of Business Communicators. The site includes a news publishing content management system with full search functionality. The site allows the chapter’s leadership to log in and enter stories about chapter news and events using a WYSIWYG (What You See Is What You Get) content management system.
